Double-D: Amatuer Writer

I’m slowly starting to come around to the idea that I am a “poet.” I know, I know. It’s still weird to me too. But, part of being a poet is getting published in more than one place…So, I’m attempting to submit my work to more places and more often. 

If writing is hard (and it is), then submitting is like trying to take a leisurely stroll into Mordor. You have to have faith in your work, do your research regarding each publication and have the guts to push the “submit” button. 

I’m trying, but I’m not sure that it will work. After this submission run, I will go back to writing. At least, I will have more material to work with.
