A Non-Offensive Look At Stay At Home Dads →
thedaddycomplex: Yay! A story by a major news outlet that doesn’t make stay-at-home dads out to be completely incompetent or a circus sideshow attraction. Good job, CNN. I forgive you for briefly employing Ashleigh Banfield. I’ve been looking for something for Hubz since he is planning on going to school and being a Stay At Home Dad, which I’m eternally grateful for. Hubz is an...

Fetus Hiccups
The kid has had the hiccups for the last 3 minutes. It’s like a dub-step song in my belly.

"Hope" by Emily Dickenson
hateshiploveship: Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune—without the words, And never stops at all, And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird. That kept so many warm. I’ve heard it in the chillest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never in extremity, It asked a think of me.

Reasons I Write
litpursuits: by Andrew Forbes 1) I suck at math. 2) I sunburn easily. 3) To inspire the gauzy adoration of young men. 4) To arouse the dewy fawning of young women. 5) So that my doubting elders, while seated in stiff leather chairs, are moved to snap shut a hardcover copy of my first collection of stories, issue a deep sigh, and then whisper, That fucker can write.

I just submitted to Crazy Horse.
This has got to be one of the most arrogant or most silly things that I’ve done in my short poetic career.  Fingers crossed. Now, we wait.

Crotchets & Quibblings: Dear male readers →
whoneedsmisandry: If you truly are ashamed by your gender and the suffering it causes, the best solution is to go out and educate your fellow dudes about the harm they’re doing. It will be difficult, and will probably lead to you losing friends and being shut out from social circles. Some…

Pinterest can suck it
I tried to make a “quick and easy crock pot soup” that I found on Pinterest. I followed the pretty simple recipe and after sitting in my slow cooker for the recipes guided 6 hours, it looks like baby poop. Seriously. And, it’s tasteless. Awesome. Can they start a website or tumblr for PinterestFails?!

Maternity Clothes suck
I already hate clothing my body on normal days. I’m terrible at style. I dress for comfort and tend to push the dress code to the casual side. I’m not a stylish person. I hate things that don’t match-match because I am a terrible judge of that. If I ever get super rich or famous, I’m going to hire my younger sister as my stylish because damn, she has good taste.  [[MORE]] ...

They say that preparing for a baby is expensive,
babybumpinit: Honestly, it isn’t the baby stuff that’s expensive, its the food that you have to buy to keep up with the darn cravings.  Buffalo Wings and Burritos really start to add up.

Extreme Fetal Movement
Seriously, search for that on Youtube.  I woke up this morning around 4:30 because my cat was meowing like someone was trying to murder him. Apparently, this also woke up the fetus because he promptly started a two hour long dance party. It felt like he was swishing from one side to the other, balling up and then launching himself at the other side of my stomach. The movement was so strong that...

Pregnancy update. 24 Weeks.
[[MORE]]How Far along? 24 weeks Size of the fetus? Approximately 12.5 in. and over 2lbs.  Any new symptoms? When I lay on my back, I feel like an overturned turtle. Upper back pain from my huge ass boobs. Heartburn and acid reflux. Swelling feet. I’ve also had to take off my Claddagh ring this week since my fingers were swelling. I’m pretty sad about it because I’ve worn that...

Get off my momma!
At my lunch, I was sitting with my feet propped up and Hubz laid his head lightly on my stomach. Fetus kicked him in the face pretty hard a couple of times. I imagine he was thinking, “Get off my Momma!” What a good bonding moment. :)
