This is a great idea, because everybody’s knows that abortions are a classic...

Confession
I wish that I never gave up acting.
Day 17: Catching Up: Favorite Poem
THE FLEA. by John Donne
MARK but this flea, and mark in this, How little that which thou deniest me is ; It suck’d me first, and now sucks thee, And in this flea our two bloods mingled be. Thou know’st that this cannot be said A sin, nor shame, nor loss of maidenhead ; Yet this enjoys before it woo, And pamper’d swells with one blood made of two ; ...
I'd be a very unhappy person if there were no...
Catching Up: Day 14: Who I Talk to/Text Most Often
Other than BBMing people from work, I usually text:
-David
-BFFF Vern
-Mom (She needs to stop watching so much Discovery on ID crime shows because she always thinks that I’m gonna get stolen or something.)
-Little sister, Ally
David and I talk to each other around 5 or 6 times while at work a day. Vern and I can go a few days without texting but we usually check in every once in a...
Day 15: Best Friend
Vern and I had gone to school with each other for quite some time, but actually got close during Junior year of high school. Ever since then, she has been my confidante, my chosen family, my partner-in-crime and my support system. She saved my life a few times and keeps me going on the tough days. She always has the right words to make me smile and laugh. She knows when I need a large helping of...

Day 7: Things I Notice First When I Meet Someone
I’m a weird person. I admit it.
Oddly, I notice weird things about people when I first meet them and then I have to stop myself from bringing it up in the future or when I associate that weird thing to them.
When I first met a good friend from my writing group, I couldn’t help but remember that he wore an orange backpack and the smell of his cheese quiche made my empty belly hurt.

Confession
I hate when family members use Facebook to spread their ignorance. I can’t help but give them snotty comments.
Day 6: Pet Peeves
-Being interrupted while reading a really good book
-Not being able to take my normal route to work
-Ordering something at a restaurant only to find out that they have run out of that item
-Being woken up in the middle of the night
-People who give unsolicited advice
-Luke Warm showers
-Smokers who take way too many “smoke breaks” at work
-Being talked down to or not...
Day 5: Tell a Story of Your day using gifs
I hate getting out bed early in the morning on Saturdays but Hubz planned a Chihuahua Puppy play date so I reluctantly dragged my butt out of bed and out the door.
The puppy playdate went out but the dog was freaking out and being a major bitch to the other dogs. I’m a proud Momma.
Then we came home, clean up and I passed the heck out for a pretty good nap.
Then, I woke up and had...
Day 4: Best Vacation/Dream Vacation
I really loved our honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas. We got to spend 7 days together and just kind of reconnect. I also got to see a wild manatee while kayaking and I definitely consider it a life defining moment for me.
Dream Vacation: I would love to country hop with Hubz and our chihuahua, JoJo. I would love to go hiking in the sweaty mountains of the pacific islands, clubbing in Germany,...

Day 3: What I like to do on the weekends
Sleep. Isn’t that enough?
Since I often have trouble falling asleep and falling back asleep after woken up, I love to look forward to the uninterrupted time that I can devote to sleeping on the weekends. Actually, I wake up on Monday morning looking forward to Friday night when I can catch up on all the sleep I’ve missed through the week.
I’m very excited about spring coming so...
Day 2: The Best Teacher I've Ever Had
Mr. Ruess taught (and still teaches) AP Literature at Norco High School. He was the “hot young stud” teacher when my mother went to that same high school in the late eighties. I might have been in his class even while in utero to be honest.
But, as his beard turned gray and I walked into his classroom, he changed my life.
He is so passionate about what he teaches. He’d often...
Day 1: What I like People to Call Me
In high school, I used to be called “DQ.” Since these were my intials and it was short and sweet, it grew on me over time.
Most of my high school friends and sorority sisters still refer to me by “DQ,” even though my last name has changed.
I love my DQ because it became a term of endearment and even some of my teachers would learn this nickname and call on me by it....
